<div>I just saw the title of the deleted post. Very nasty. <br/>I got cooties for being a girl and smart. In those days (the late 70s) the ideology was 'wear eyepencil and simper and love will find you'. Unfortunately I was good at chemistry. Instant death. <br/>Then in my twenties and thirties people said, 'When you stop looking for someone, then you'll find someone'. <br/>Now in my forties the ideology is 'If you haven't found someone then you must not be wanting it hard enough/in the right way/positively enough'. <br/>I wonder, sometimes, what they will taunt us with in our fifties. <br/>Personally I say things like, 'what bad luck you've had', and not stuff like, 'oh don't be so negative, the love of your life will come along soon'.
